The most recent kit additions are of a most unusual assortment.
We have a 1:1 scale insect killing doll, a blast from the past and a giant bear!

I really didn't expect it to be the case, but my host's tech support department believes it could be a hacker that's using a vulnerable script somewhere within the blog's installation to perform some kind of code injection.
They didn't send me any log entries or present any other form of evidence to conclusively prove that to be the case but I'll defer to their technical training and experience.
WordPress is relatively secure but when you add more third party code to the mix, it becomes less so. The new Trapped in Plastic is going to have to run a much tighter ship with as few plug-ins as possible.
That's not necessarily a bad thing. Fewer plug-ins means fewer PHP processes being executed, so the blog should be faster and more responsive while using fewer server resources.
The tricky part for me is designing a minimal blog configuration and, more importantly, sticking to it! I just love to tweak but I'll have to resist the urge for the sake of security.
There's something that keeps messing up the .htaccess file for the site and so far, I've been unable to pinpoint what's responsible.
I don't have any plugins that modify .htaccess directly and I don't think it's the work of a hacker either. If a hacker has sufficient access to a host such that they can mess with .htaccess files, they wouldn't just stop there.
It seems to be limited to only Trapped in Plastic. None of my other blogs are affected. So the problem must be limited to this blog's installation.
Rather than spend hours upon hours trying to track down the problem, I'm simply going to re-install the blog from scratch. Trapped in Plastic had somewhat random as of late, so I was planning to renovate it anyway in a bid to make the blog more topic-focused.
Starting from scratch will kill two birds with one stone... at least I hope it will.

Someone had asked what kind of protective gear was required for spraying hobby lacquers.
Being a long-time modeler as well as having done airbrush art in art college, I chimed in. But while researching the topic further, I discovered that my own protective gear was inadequate against solvent-based paints!
I've never followed those self-styled "celebrity" toy reviewers on YouTube. There just seems to be too much Internet drama surrounding them.
Take the infamous YouTube toy reviewer, Sean Long, for example...
I know I've told myself that I wouldn't buy another kit since I already have a sizable stockpile of unbuilt kits.
But when it comes to resin kits, sometimes exceptions have to be made due to limited and sparsely scheduled production runs and unpredictable product retirement dates.
These two kits I recently received literally took years to become available. So when E0246.com had a sale, I knew I had to jump on them quickly.
The first kit preview is of the Monster Hunter in Rathian Armour...
